coach. lead. grow

For individuals - your journey starts here.

As a coach, I specialise in Leader Impact, Careers and Peak Performance.

My coaching practice is focused on:

  • Leader Impact at all Levels – from the emerging to the experienced, and every leader in between

  • Career Movers and Changers - getting ready for that next role, a career change or planning for longer term

  • Peak Performance - wanting to bring an energised and elevated level of performance to your work, every day

You might fall into one, two or all three of those categories! I can help you get to where you want or need to go. But you have to be willing to take that first step.

When you work with me you will:

  • Get laser focused on your goals

  • See yourself more clearly

  • See others more clearly

  • Learn new ways to respond

  • Know and leverage your existing strengths

  • Build stronger and more productive relationships

  • Achieve what you want, at work, and wherever else you are looking to create success

Every bespoke Coaching Engagement is built around structured and insightful learning conversations that will help you identify both your strengths and challenges. Your sessions are outcome focused and designed to amplify your performance and accelerate you towards achieving greater potential at work.

Working with me is a collaborative process that focuses on goal setting, knowing yourself, optimising your strengths, investigating avenues for change, and seeking and reflecting on new insights. This culminates in your personal pledge to sustainable learning and action.

This means YOU set the program for change and the blue print to achieve your goals within a positive, encouraging, supportive (and sometimes challenging) learning environment that is created solely for the purpose of your individual development. My goal is to help you fly at work!

Coaching Engagements are designed around your unique and specific needs and are usually for a 3-12 month period with regular online or face to face conversations, where you take action between sessions as you accelerate your learning and progress towards your goals. This timeframe and commitment allows for the level of transformation you are looking for. Shorter or one off coaching engagements are available upon request.

I have and continue to coach people from the US, UK/Europe and the Asia Pacific regions. Sessions can be delivered by phone, by Zoom/Teams, or - if in South Australia - in person at your workplace, favourite coffee shop or alternate venue. Timezones are not an obstacle.

Session availability is flexible – I work with your work and life, not the other way around.

Questions?

What exactly is coaching?

Coaching is a practical and individual learning and development activity that helps you achieve outcomes you identify yourself. These outcomes may be about perceptions and beliefs as well as about behavioural change and concrete action. Coaching aims to unlock your potential and maximize your own performance, and focuses on the ‘here and now’ rather than on the distant past or future. Coaching leads you to insight, discovery and forward movement.

Do I really need a Coach?

As Bill Gates famously said “Everyone needs a coach!”. Who are we to argue with Bill?!

If you are wanting to:

  • Grow

  • Make changes to, advance or accelerate your career

  • Perform at a higher and/or more sustained level

  • Be more effective in your work

  • Become a stronger and more impactful leader

  • Learn how to better manage your people

  • Determine the steps that will allow you to meet your goals

  • Improve your productivity

  • Find better ways to manage your self, time, working relationships, change etc

Then coaching is for you.

What can I expect as an outcome of coaching ?

If you fully commit to the process, coaching will result in changes in your beliefs, behaviours and attitudes. Depending on your goals, you (and others around you) will see:

  • improvements in your communication and interpersonal skills

  • development of new leadership and management capabilities

  • sustainable solutions to personal and work-related issues

  • your enhanced capacity to resolve conflict

  • positive changes in attitudes and motivation

  • increased personal confidence

  • improved management performance

  • a feeling of being more engaged, valued and supported

  • a preparedness for a change in role or organisational change.

How can I prepare for coaching sessions?

Having a Coach is an investment - of both your time and headspace. To get the most out of our sessions you should:

  • Identify your goals or areas of focus.

    • Get specific on what it is you want to work on (but don’t panic, I can help you work through some of this too)

  • Keep a journal.

    • It’s good to have a notebook of some kind that you can jot down what is happening between your coaching sessions, reflect on things we’ve talked through, and can be reminder for you of things you want to talk about. This also becomes a living record of your actions over time.

  • Be open and prepared to be challenged.

    • When you are open and transparent with your Coach you will get more meaningful results. They will support, encourage, challenge, and create an environment where you can get out of your comfort zone.

  • Expect change!

    • This is what you wanted, remember?!

How do I know you’re the right Coach for me?

Personal fit is a big part of choosing a Coach. It’s important that you feel your Coach will deliver what you need from them and that there is trust and confidence in place. Think about what type of person you want to work with and ensure they specialise in the area you want assistance with.

Underpinning personal fit are some key things to know that your Coach is the real deal…

  1. A commitment to the coaching profession through membership of professional bodies with a code of ethics.

As a member of both the International Coaching Federation and the Australian Human Resources Institute I am bound by their codes of ethics. I am also required to undertake Professional Development in my areas of specialty to maintain my memberships.

  2. Relevant training and qualifications.

I am an ACC ICF Credentialed Coach, which is an internationally recognised coaching certification that includes assessment against coaching standards. I have completed 60+hours of coach specific training (Level 1 and 2) and hold a Masters in Human Resources Management (Organisational Change Management).

  3. Experience

I have a 20+ year career in People and Culture roles where coaching of leaders has been a key component. I know how to get the best out of people. The professional coaching space is the natural progression of that work and I am absolutely passionate about helping people fly at work!
